What MEATS is
The "Mobile Employee Attendance Tracking System” (MEATS) allows field workers to report duties remotely, while the supervisors can monitor the attendance over the internet in real time. Industries that will benefit from the system include cleaning services, construction contractors, security companies and all businesses that have employees working in the field. We sell the system and provide all the technical support. However, for customers who prefer not to invest in a lump sum, they can take our rental service plans, under which, they pay a monthly rental fee in return for all the necessary equipment and support.
How it works Each field employee will be given an rfid card. The card has an electronic circuit inside that carries a unique code that can identify who the owner is. The code can be retrieved electronically by a reader. The supervisor who leads the field working team will carry the reader and a cell phone along. At the site, each employee has to report duty by tapping the card against the reader, instantly the attendance records will be sent wirelessly to a web server and stored there. Anyone, anywhere in the world, with internet access can go to a website to see the results in real time. The following animation illustrates how the system works.
Structure The system is made up by the following components:-
Fields of use Cleaning services The MEATS system provides a new and efficient way to manage the productivity of the cleaning workforce. The cleaners carry the reader and cell phone along, when they reach the worksite, they have to scan the rfid tag attached to the wall. The remote server will immediately log the event and display the duty reporting time on screen, the management (or even the customers, if they are authorized to do so) can see the report in real time by accessing a web site. The cleaners will also need to scan the rfid tags at different spots of the premises. In this way, the administrator can easily monitor in real time the progress of the cleaning process in the field. Construction contractors With the MEATS system, the supervisor does not need to use the paper and pen method to record each worker's attendance any more. Each worker will be given an rfid card. In the morning of the day when they meet at the construction site, the supervisor takes out the reader (and a cell phone) and let each worker scan their cards. Immediately the data will be send to a remote server which records the time that the worker scans the card. This will be the check-in time. In the end of the day, the same process is done and the check-out time will again be recorded. The supervisor who carries the reader does not need to go back to the office at all, since the attendance has already been sent to the server right at the moment when the workers scan their cards. The management personnel at the office (or practically anywhere in the world) can reveal the attendance status at any time. They know if a particular worker is absent even early in the morning and can find replacement immediately. The attendance record stored in the server can be downloaded easily and imported to any accounting package to do the payroll. Manned security The MEATS system provides proven track and trace records for patrol management in real time. The security guard carries the reader and cell phone along. When he reaches each location within a duty area, he can use the reader to identify the unique rfid tag associated with this checkpoint. This provides absolute verification that the location has been patrolled and at what time. The check lists of the patrol route will be updated instantly by the remote server. Management staff can review the duty performance online anywhere by accessing the internet. In case there is an incident, the management can always call the guard's cell phone immediately to verify what has gone wrong. The record stored in the database can be downloaded easily for further processing, like payroll calculations. Home healthcare services The MEATS is a new and efficient work control system for the welfare sector. It makes planning and monitoring the progress of the care service easier and smoother. The nurses carry the reader and cell phone with them, on reaching the clients' homes, they scan the individual client's rfid card and the remote server will immediately record it. The health care management in the hospital can monitor the progress in real time and carry out adjustment promptly when the schedule is slipped. In this way, the visits to all clients will be guaranteed to make according to plan. Hotel housekeeping services It is vital for the front desk to know which room is serviceable, which has the "Do not disturb" card displayed and when it is ready for check in. The MEATS system enables this to be revealed in real time. It also records how long each room is cleaned and thus provides dynamic records for the everyday scheduling of manpower. Since the monitoring process is done conveniently and remotely by accessing the internet, one management team can simultaneously monitor a few hotels that physically locate at different places in the world.
